My work always tried to unite the truth with the beautiful, but when I had to choose one or the other, I usually chose the beautiful. — Hermann Weyl

Welcome to my webpage!
I am currently an assistant professor with the ZJU-UIUC Institute of Zhejiang University. I held a Ph.D. from the Singapore University of Technology and Design, and continued as a postdoc researcher with the same institute for another three years. I also had research attachments with the Princeton University (2018 - 2019) and UT Austin (2015 - 2016).
I serve on the editorial board of the Frontiers in Communications and Networks, and as a frequent speaker at international conferences. I have been delivering tutorials at various IEEE venues, including the IEEE ICC, IEEE Globecom, IEEE WCNC, and CIC/IEEE ICCC. I was named an Exemplary Reviewer for the IEEE Wireless Communication Letter in 2014 and the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications in 2018. I received the IEEE WCSP 10-Year Anniversary Excellent Paper Award in 2019 and the IEEE WCSP Best Paper Award in 2014.
My research focuses on developing theoretical models for the understanding and optimization of modern wireless networks, with applications spanning the intelligent mobile edge systems, Internet of Things, and next-generation wireless networks.
I like coffee, cold jokes, and probability. Living in a Little Red Dot that merges cultures from both the east and the west for seven years, I have always been enjoying the interactions with people from various backgrounds and exploring the world.
Openings: I am looking for excellent students who want to pursuit a Ph.D. in the international campus of Zhejiang University, the candidates will have the chance to be jointly supervised by me and faculties from UIUC. I am also looking for postdocs to work on distributed machine learning and real-time control systems. If you are interested in, please send me an email with your CV.
